sensitivity

I have an English Syntax subject every Sunday morning at 07.30. My lecturer is Sudarsono, P.Hd. Last week, on Sunday (24/11) he did not give material for the class; because there was not cable for in focus. Yups… there was something wrong with the electric switch in my class. So, we must take from the next class.

Unfortunately, there was no cable; as the result he couldn’t explain the material.

“Is there any class? There is no electricity. We don’t have in focus.” He said.
All of classes answered that he should explain the material without in focus.

“I am not sure. You can’t catch the materials; even though there is in focus. Then, we can’t use it this morning.” He added.

There was no answer.

For a half an hour he was waiting for the in focus and the cable. Andi as the coordinator went to academic. He got the cable and the in focus. But, the cable was not long enough. He tried to get it. He can’t. I went to secretariat BEM FKIP Untan. There was no cable. Someone was using it.

“I am sure that most of you don’t have sensitivity for something. You know that there is not cable; but only Andi look for it; and the others just waiting for.”
Everybody kept silent.

“May be your parents just asked you for study. So, you can get a good grade; without knowing the way how you got it. Then, you can get your bachelor degree.”

“Ehm…after you graduate from this faculty you get difficult to find the job. Most of the people in Indonesia wanna be a teacher. Of course, the competency is very hard. Whereas, your parents hope you will give the best for them.”

“If you are to be a teacher, you will get enough salary. You should not do other job. As a teacher of course you must enrich your capability. You can’t only come to school, teach the students, and so on. You must have your interest-your sensitivity for something.”
